
Good luck, this seems like a tough nut to crack. each one has like 20 comments so you might get some more insight as well. Here and here are those two posts in case you were interested. but maybe you want to get on there and get in touch with those guys to see if they got anywhere. Even searching their Facebook group (which is much larger than this subreddit) for the term "freezing" only comes up with 2 mentions of it in the last year or so. if it were such a massive problem in the client you wouldn't be the only one reporting the problem. It's also telling that there don't seem to be any other current reports of others having this issue. Nothing can be eliminated as the culprit unless you can swap it out for an equivalent and it does the same thing on the replacement. I'm not saying that's it, I'm just saying you can't rule it out.

I'm curious if it still does it with the older v7 client? Reolink Client V 3.5.6 is the older desktop software that we have released years ago while Reolink V 8.1.28 is a new and. Oh and I have tried running the latest stable and the latest beta there is no difference with my issue Before anyone says that its because the cameras are not on my local network, I have operated it this way for 6 months with no issues then out of the blue they started in January, my unifi cameras don't have these issues so It is not a network speed or computer speed issue. I should not have to pay extra money for blue iris or another program just to properly view the feeds, especially when some of these NVRs are off site meaning I need to either port forward or make a S2S VPN in order to just view the cameras.

And now this week, the cameras are becoming so laggy that its useless even having the live view up because it is over a minute behind and skips around as it tries to catch up. However starting in mid january the client completely freezes with zero warning, forcing me to have to restart it in order to restore camera views. Prior to January I would run the client for days straight with zero issues save for it falling behind a little. I am starting to really get fed up with the reolink windows client.
